RUZM Gully and Rugi

RUZM (Right Up Ze Middle) is a north-facing gully in a small hill located in Chatter Creek's South Side, just west of MCO and south of South Park. RUZM is visible from Vertebrae Lodge and a good set of tracks in RUZM viewed in the setting sun makes for a great "conversation piece" in the bar. Access to RUZM is from MCO. The cat road climbs straight up the south side of the hill. From the top. skiers may pass north down RUXM or ski the south side which is known as "the Rugi" (pronounced Roog-eye). The first photo locates RUZM relative to other South Side ski zones. The road to RUZM and the Rugi is in the center of the second photoand South Park is to the left. Photo #3 is a shot from upper East Ridge and shows RUZM in the middle of the photo. The photo with the bluish tinge was taken from Lodge Ridge and the last photo shows ski tracks on the the Rugi and the cat road to RUZM.             Back to Index
